Doctrines of Grace (DOC-301)

COURSE OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES

• This course provides a comprehensive overview of the history and theology of the Doctrines of Grace, commonly known as the Five Points of Calvinism. Students will examine the biblical foundations and historical development of these doctrines, including the bondage of the will and the sovereignty of God in election and predestination. The course will also address common objections to the Doctrines of Grace, equipping students to understand, articulate, and defend these teachings with clarity and confidence.
• PLEASE NOTE: This course was not originally intended to be an academy course, so the first two videos do not mention the academy requirements like normal.

COURSE REQUIRMENTS

• Reading Assignments (25%): Complete then reading of the required textbook during the course.
• Notebook Assignment (25%): Maintain an organized course-specific notebook with handouts, notes, and assignments for easy reference and grading.
• Final Paper (50%): Write a 3 to 5 page paper addressing and responding to one of the common objections to the Doctrines of Grace.

WATCHING THE COURSE VIDEOS AND COMPLETING THE READING ASSIGNMENTS

• Each week, after the class livestream has concluded, a link to the video will be placed in the curriculum section above along with any notes from the professor. 
• This class is planned to be 8 weeks long.

HOW TO COMPLETE THE COURSE:

After you have watched all the video lectures, taken notes for each class, and completed the required reading, please follow these steps to complete the course:

(1) Email us at [email protected] to let us know you’ve finished the coursework and are ready to commence with your final paper. Along with your message, please attach a single photo of your course notebook for our records.

(2) Once we receive your submission, a member of our admin team will confirm receipt. At that point, you will have four weeks to complete and submit your final paper.

(3) Once submitted, one of our instructors will review and grade your work. If a passing grade is achieved, we will issue and email you a digital certificate of completion.
