COURSE OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES

This course provides an overview of the historical context and theological themes of the five books known as the Major Prophets—Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, and Daniel. Students will read each of these books in full while becoming acquainted with their authorship, structure, and central themes.
REQUIRED TEXTBOOK
Holy Bible (Students are allowed to choose the version, but essentially literal translations are preferred (ESV, NASB, KJV, NKJV, etc)
COURSE REQUIRMENTS
Class Registration: Students need to go to SovereignGraceAcademy.org and create a username. From there, you will be able to enroll in the course. All announcements and updates will be given through the website.
Class Attendance: In-person students must attend weekly and be on time; missed classes must be made up by watching the video before the next session. Online students may watch live or later. All students must take notes as proof of participation.
Academic Character: Plagiarism or cheating of any kind is strictly prohibited and may result in academic penalties or dismissal from the program.
Reading Assignments (25%): Complete all assigned readings to fully engage in class discussions; this forms a quarter of the final grade.
Notebook Assignment (25%): Maintain an organized course-specific notebook with handouts, notes, and assignments for easy reference and grading.
Final Project (50%): Select a prophecy concerning the Lord Jesus Christ from the Major Prophets and write a 5–7 page paper (double-spaced) that explains its context, interprets its meaning, and demonstrates its fulfillment in the New Testament. Proper citation of sources in APA or MLA format is required.
GRADING SCALE: A (100-90) B (89-80) C (79-70) D (69-60) F (59 or below)
Once the final class is completed, student will have four weeks to return the completed Final Project which will then be graded. If all materials combine for a passing score, a certificate of completion will be awarded.
